My dad is about to put this LJ70 on eBay. I don’t have any link to this car, but I’m sad it’s probably gonna be parted out.

Does a 1UZ engine fit in that? Someone here should buy it and do a Back to the Future/ Baja 1000 mash-up. I’ll sketch it in photoshop to show what I mean...

Almost regardless of condition, that would be worth 10k or more over here

Would be so nice to see it restored.

If it’s at least 25 years old it can be exported to the US. Mr. Rustholes could do a Flavien and offer it on Bring a trailer with RoRo shipping included.

Most likely too wide. The 2007+ VDJ70 has a 4.5 V8 Diesel, but also a redesigned frame. Any JZ or a Turbo FZ should be fair game though.

That would be so awesome! It is 30 years old I think, so yeah, it’s possible :-)

There’s a lot of work to do, but in the US you’d have the freedom to make it something awesome as well! I’d love to see a icon style job on it

For that type of shipping it will have to be able move under its own power though (does not have to be street legal). Otherwise you’ll have to use a (more expensive) container.

I’d love to. But I already have my Pajero. This one has more potential. But the Pajero is family

Or to Canada, it only has to be 15 years old here

They’ll have to be able to drive it from a parking lot into the ship, and at the destination back onto a parking lot. That’s it as far as I know.

You could make a video of it. Like Flavien, including French accent. Walk around it, point out the good and the bad and maybe start the engine. If it hasn’t run in a long time, make a separate ‘cold start after x years’ (see YouTube) kind of video :)

Is it a diesel? The diesels command a premium. Canada too, no emissions testing, would just have to pass a safety inspection to be registered

Rusty body, dirty interior, needs about all bushings changed, needs a head gasket, maybe a head
